鈴木 康広

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1979. He continues to question how we see the world through works that give fresh perspectives to familiar everyday phenomena. Using familiar objects as mediums, he explores the limitlessness of human senses and consciousness, starting with the video installation work Perspective of the Globe Jungle, which uses playground equipment in the park, and Zip-Fastener Ship, which opened the sea at the Setouchi International Art Festival 2010. I create works that extend into the distance. He has exhibited works both in Japan and overseas, including commissioned works in museums and public spaces. Major solo exhibitions include “ Neighborhood Globe” at Art Tower Mito in 2014, “Spontaneous Garden” at Hakone Open-Air Museum in 2017, and “BLINKING” at Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art in Israel in 2021. Major international exhibitions include the Seville Biennale 2008 and the 4th Moscow Biennale. Representative of Japan at the 1st London Design Biennale 2016. In recent years, he has focused on giving shape to the invisible things hidden in the place, such as " Aerial Being", and the scenery that emerges from the encounter with the visitor.
