Born in Tokyo in 1933. 1956 Graduated from the Department of Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
In the same year, he joined the advertising department of Shiseido. Joined DESCA Co., Ltd. in 1959.
Became freelance in 1960 and established Nakajo Design Office Co., Ltd. in 1961.
Art direction and design for Shiseido's corporate culture magazine "Hanatsubaki" and The Ginza/Tactics Design. CI planning for Matsuya Ginza, Wacoal Spiral, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and Hosomi Museum. Logotype and package design for Shiseido Parlor. Active mainly in graphic design such as the logo and signage plan for the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building.
