OUE Akiko

大植 亜希子

Product and jewelry designer. Born in Osaka in 1982. After graduating from Kanazawa International Design Institute (KIDI), transferred to Design Academy Eindhoven (Netherlands). After completing an internship in Milan while in school, she returned to Japan after graduating and worked at a furniture manufacturer. Established Oue in 2010. In 2012, she started the joint label Oy with Ryohei Yoshiyuki. Focusing on self-production and client work, she explores the possibilities of materials and conducts repeated tests to develop products. In recent years, she has also been involved in overseas projects.
